In a simulated world, it’s hard to wonder why we strive so hard to awaken the machine. We are almost slaves to the goal. Despite all the possible danger and all of our own warnings, it seems that we can’t help but try and give sentience to the inanimate. It’s extremely weird, especially since we can’t seem to appreciate the life that already exists on this planet. Perhaps we pray for our robot overlords to save us from ourselves and deliver us to a world where we aren’t responsible for all of our power and decisions.
